Thank you for sharing this experience Griffin! Of course, the path to getting hired will be different for every Designer out there. A lot depends on your experience, location, and the quality of the jobs you're applying to.

My point in the article was to convince Junior Designers to find at least 20-30 jobs that truly align with their qualifications and that they are likely to get a response from (and they keep on applying as new jobs arise). Usually, young Designers tend to apply for 2-5 jobs and see it as sufficient effort.

When it comes to the response rate, it again depends on the market, your portfolio, qualifications, and luck as well.
